Graduate Trainee at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Manglia Receipt Terminal, Indore (M.P) from 16 October 2019 to 15 October2020.

Manglia Receipt Terminal was commissioned on 12thSep 2003. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited has set up Manglia Receipt Terminal on land admeasuring 72.857 acres, for storage and distribution of petroleum products of various grades namely MS BSVI, HSD BSVI and SKO. The product is received through multi product Mumbai-Manmad-Manglia-Piyala-Bijwasan pipeline

(MMBPL).

Key Responsiblities -

Carrying out Operation Receipt via multiproduct pipeline, Storage and Dispatch of Refineries Product like MS, HSD, SKO total capacity 2 lac KL Approx of terminal.

Handling multiproduct Pipeline Transfer Operation at terminal.

Handling Tank Wagon Loading Operation.

Tank handing over and taking over before and after transfer operations.

Knowledge of sampling of products as per IQCM norms.

Coordination with Maintenance department for terminal maintenance activities including instrument testing and tank cleaning and tank repairing activity.

Participating with terminal maintenance department for preventive and breakdown maintained activity.

Knowledge of Fire Fighting Equipment eg. HVLR, Water cum foam monitor, MEFG, fire extinguisher, water sprinkler, tank rim seal fire protection etc.

Knowledge about product quality MS, HSD and SKO as per IQCM.

Knowledge of Petroleum Act and Rules.

Idea of maintaining daily records like Tool box talk, Walk around, Valve register, Dyke drain valves register etc.

Operation of various types of tanks like Fixed Roof, Floating Roof and Internal Floating Roof.

Tank gauging operations.

Coordination and Participation with HSSE officer in Safety related work.

Supervise the measures taken for the Safety, Health, Security and welfare for all contractors / visitors in the shift.

Industrial Training -

● Rural Engineering Service, Sagar (M.P) from 01-06-2018 to 30-06-2018 under the guidance of S.K. Amrodiya.

● Title - Technical Visit at Manikheda dam, Shivpuri (M.P). Minor Project -

● Title : Soil Stabilization Practices–

Different samples are tested in order to study the alteration of soils to enhance their physical properties. Stabilization can increase the shear strength of a soil and or control the swell and shrink properties of a soil and hence improving the load bearing capacity of sub grade. Major Project -

● Title : Energy Efficient Building–

A model on energy efficient building was made in which north light roofing was suggested keeping transparent inclined roof sheets. Ventilation design was given more importance to provide fresh air inflow into the building to reduce the cost of the building. Other Project-

● Title: Highway Planning (Model Presentation)–

Highway Planning involves the estimation of current and future traffic volumes on a road network and is also a basic need for the Highway development.
