Conceptualize structural schematic designs (SD). Once approved, perform structural analysis and design calculations.

Prepare structural drawings and details for building permit and construction.

Attend to design coordination meetings together with the Design Manager, architect and other engineering trades, for project updates and concerns.

Issue construction drawings and handle/respond to queries and approvals.

For outsourced design, prepare and coordinate structural design bids with external consultants for basis of awarding. Once awarded, manage and coordinate the structural design to ensure design requirements, terms of references and schedules are met. Recommend design alternatives or modifications when deemed necessary.

Conduct in-house or manage outsourced peer review of structural designs by external designers.

Upon request, visit the construction site to assess structural concerns in the project, determine the underlying problem, prepare a report (if necessary) and provide sound engineering solutions.
