Projects:

# 1: Multi Input Output Interface

DESCRIPTION: The multi input output (MIO Card) has been designed in house to develop and test the Input output Interface. This card includes numerous analog, discrete and pulse IO interfaces. Analog interface is handled with on chip ADC, Discrete Interface is handled by GPIO. Pulse IO interfaces is handled by GPT/PWM module.

Responsibilities:

Study of the LPC1313 IOCON and understand the functionalities of different pins.

Study of pin functionalities of LPC1313 .

Adding device drivers for GPIO,GPT and ADC driver.

Microcontroller : LPC1313

Peripherals used: IOCON, SYSTEM CONTROL.

#2: LED Intensity Control using PWM.

DESCRIPTIION: The primary functionality of this project task is control the LED intensity by applying the variable duty cycle for the generated PWM pulse on GPT match output pin which is externally driving on LED. LPC1313 microcontroller has a 16-bit timer,CT16B0 which can generate PWM on associated Match pin, CT16B0_MAT0. To generate PWM, two match register are needed. One match register determines the PWM cycle and other match register determines the pulse duration.

# ACADAMIC PROJECT: “IoT Based Smart Fish Feeder For Aquarium”.

DESCRIPTION: Along with the socio-economic development, more high living standards have being pursued by human beings. However, more time has been spent engaging in work and they have no extra time to look after their playthings (e.g., fishes, flowers). An automatic fish feeder is a device that automatically feed the fish at a predetermined time.

In a way, it is to control the fish feeding activity by using a fish feeder that combined the mechanical system and electrical system to form a device instead of manually feeding the fish by hand. Fish owners whom are away for a long time will have trouble knowing the situation of the aquarium. Thus such device is very convenient.

At the same time, the environment needs to be monitored. We will monitor the environment by measuring the key parameters in the fish tank such as temperature, pH or Conductivity and then some others to control the correct state of the fish tank (level and leakages ).

ACADAMIC MINI PROJECT: Miniaturization of microstrip patch antenna using DGS technique.

DESCRIPTION: The main aim of this project is to design and simulate microstrip patch antenna using DGS(Defected Ground Structure) and to enhance the bandwidth of microstrip patch antenna by considering antenna parameters for S band at 2.2GHz by using the HFSS software. Initially the patch antenna designed at C band resonates at 5.2GHz.The proposed DGS is integrated in ground plane of the patch antenna for size reduction. However this miniaturization is at cost of gain of the antenna.
