Project Description:

Perceptive Informatics is a leading e-Clinical solutions provider and helps customers accelerate the drug development process through innovation. The main objective of Perceptive Informatics eClinical solutions is to help customers improve efficiency and productivity, and ultimately reduce the costs associated with clinical research.

Pharmaceutical companies & CROs use a variety of software applications in the conduct of clinical trials. Such as IVRS/IWRS applications (also known as Randomization and Trial Supplies Management (RTSM)), Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, etc. They also rely on Clinical Trials Management Systems (CTMS) to monitor and manage their clinical trial operations. However, the CTMS is dependent on data from these other systems in order to fulfill its role as the central management application. Likewise, the other systems are dependent on core information that originates in the CTMS.

Instead of relying on disparate “islands” of information that often in direct conflict with each other, CTMS users looking for benefit from sharing consistent trial data across the entire enterprise using the CTIP platform. This should allow the sponsor organization to streamline processes, appropriately respond to current statuses and proactively manage their trials.

The proposed CTIP aims to meet the following:

Robust, repeatable and supportable data integration

Out of box integration for PI products – on premise or hosted

Extensible to allow third party product

A high level scope for the CTIP framework currently being addressed includes:

Multi-transport request support including HTTPS, FTP(S), SFTP, JMS, Email and SOAP

Multi-channel support including IMPACT CDM XML, Opaque data

Ability to provision and orchestrate message based IMPACT system to IMPACT system integration (limited to the API’s implemented in the current release)

Capabilities to support Invocation of CTMS services using either of the protocols/channels listed above.

Capability to route requests to different CTMS instances

Capabilities to provision and support custom transformations that may be built/provisioned separately (in future releases).

Exception, Log and Audit management via integration through LEAF.

Multi-tenant and multi-version application integration support.
