Responsibilities:

- Perform general surgeries on patients including some bariatric and mini- mally invasive procedures like Hernias, Gall bladders, Colectomies, Sleeve gastrectomies, RYGBP and Fundoplication under supervision.

- Assist 2 surgeons in Bariatric and MIS surgeries (including all types and revisional cases).

- Patient care during hospital stay and after discharge in outpatient clinics.

- Judiciously Diagnose and prepare patients in clinics for both Bariatric and general surgeries.

- Supervise residents work and take them through basic laparoscopic and general surgery procedures.

- Teaching rounds on daily bases.

- Attend weekly educational and quality assurance meetings

Being one of the IFMSA executive board members, we organize several free medical days. Volunteers from the faculty of medicine provide free consultations including blood pressure and blood sugar measurements.
