AMBASSADOR FOR CHILDREN OF MPUMALANGA

In September 2013 till November 2013, I was selected to act as the ambassador for the children of Mpumalanga, to represent and advocate for their rights. On National Children’s Day, in the same year, as an ambassador, I was appointed to represent Mpumalanga in Durban on a National debate on Children’s Rights and how to protect them.

GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

My passion for the community, specifically on advocating for children is also evident in the voluntary community service which I have been a part of: 1. I have volunteered at Betty’s Heaven and Millennium Home, where I cleaned the houses and compound with others with the same passion. 2. I give English tutorials to primary schoolchildren at SOS-Children’s Villages Nelspruit.

Moreover, through my high-school years, I volunteered as a Cancer Debutante Model for fundraising purposes.

My duties included and were not limited to:

Coming up with new concepts, ideas on how we could increase brand usage and maintain it for Nedbank Unlocked.

We were tasked with presenting these ideas and insights to not only Joe Republic, but also to our client-Nedbank, considering the client’s budget. This harnessed my presentation skills and pitching.

MIDCITY PROPERTIES: MARKETING MANAGER ASSISTANT

My duties included, among others, marketing MidCity property mainly to students. As an assistant to the marketing manager at MidCity, I managed to play a significant role in the contribution towards the increase in clients for the year 2019.

Additionally, I played an administrative role in which I assisted in capturing data of new clients and filing.

I enjoy social engagement with new and different people most of the time. I love writing my own stories or films during my free time. And I love listening and trying out new music.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: SPORTS AND RECREATION

For the year 2015, I was part of the Tennis Team in Lowveld-High School.

In September 2015, I was appointed by the Department of health and Office of the Premier, to be part of the Sports and Recreation initiative, to attend a Leadership Youth Camp. I received training on leadership, which taught me some leadership skills and how I can enhance those that I already have.
