Engineering Intern
Involve and improve company production system, manufacturing process, automation, maintenance, assembly, tooling, safety, ergonomics, time studies, quality, efficiency, cost analysis, cost reduction, scrap reduction and more.
Design 2D & 3D engineering blueprints, model mechanical and technical drawings, revise plant layout, optimize cell layout for real state, operator ergonomics & streamline operation using AutoCAD, Inventor & SolidWorks.
Debug, program, modify, and backup FANUC material handling load, unload, and waterjet robots; made the design changes, reduced the overall cycle time and length of program logic by 15 %.
Troubleshoot cells, determine root cause & provide technical support to maintenance & production in order to keep equipment operational while improving process measurables, such as scrap, cost, efficiency, downtime, production.
Establish and upgrade engineering documents like Standard Work Instructions, Specification sheets, parameter sheets, Process Flow Diagram, FMEA, and root cause analysis methodology.
Draft HVAC layer in Plant AutoCAD Layout which helped facility engineer maintain a suitable environment at all seasons in the building; this was awarded Kaizen of the month being best practice in the workflow.
Perform hands-on work on Allen Bradly and Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting, HMI, press, electric circuit, electrical cabinet, sensor, machining, tooling, electromechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic system.
Collaborate with Project engineer on prototyping & new project planning, designing, analysis, preparation, completion and verification by coordinating with engineers, vendors, and subcontractors for information, drawings and deliverables.
Develop and optimize testing and perform hands on testing of production sample and provide data to the corporate lab for process and product improvement every month.
Observe quality data, analyze and take corrective action to reduce scrap, improve manufacturing operations
Involve in incident report & Gemba walk to promote safety & continuous improvement in the production facility.
The University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio Aug 2018 – Dec 2020
Undergraduate Teaching Assistant
Instruct students in the manufacturing process technique using a horizontal and vertical band saw, drill press, milling machine, lathe, CNC etc. providing them hands-on experience with manufacturing tools.
Guide students with geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) in the manufacturing process.
Supervise sample preparation using engineering technique, tensile and compressive testing using Instron, heat treatment of metal alloys, impact, and hardness testing.
Grade lab reports and provide feedback which prepared students to write a technical report.
