Summary: Project work was aimed to increase the productivity in pinion cage assembly line workstation. The producing method typically slows down the operation as bottleneck is identified. Lean tools such as VSM tool, Takt time,5s, kaizen is used to localize the bottlenecks of a product. Pinion preload process activity is split-up by two machines by introducing 40Tt press as target of company is reached from 150/shift to 180/shift.
