Job Description:

1) Kongsberg Maritime:

Creation, cleansing/scrubbing, revision, maintenance and releasing of documents, specifications, drawings, products, BOM (Bill of Materials) in Team Center /PLM 10, share point

Maintenance and revision of specifications, drawings, products.

Ensuring correct information is passed to ERP systems that run these operations

Working knowledge on Baan, Team center/PLM10, IMDS, ECN, ERP

Coordinating with design, manufacturing engineers for all the project requirements and helping them to choose the correct material for a particular product

Explain and propose immediate alternatives to a material along with SME’s by considering various factors such as hazardous nature of the material etc.

Working with International Standards: EN, ASTM, ASM, BS, MIL etc,

Segregation of materials as per Hazard identification

Creation, Validation and Analysis of Bill of materials

Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

Calculation of Hazardous substance amount at BOM level, article level, component level, assembly level etc by Considering REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals), EU SRR IHM (Inventory of Hazardous Materials), RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive), 3TG (Conflict minerals), ELV (End-of-Life Vehicle) regulations etc

Working closely with suppliers for product related requirements

Preparation of material, process and quality, consumables (Lubricant, Adhesive, Primer etc) specifications

Creation, validation of MDS and material declaration letters for the products which are being delivered to customers

Validation of engineering drawings and engineering materials.

Updating NX or xml library with revised properties of a material

Developed a system in TC/ PLM, which allows the control and traceability of the Material makeup of products down to the substance level using CAS numbers

Preparing of HS & E specifications (materials/products) for providing safety guidelines to safe and clean operation Of industrial processes

Provide trainings on HS&E requirements to cross functional team including Engineering (R&D), manufacturing, purchasing, program management, quality

Review of Manufacturing and Quality Control Plan (MQCP)

Interacting with customers in development of new materials and checking for alternatives.

Validation of supplier products to check for non-conformances

Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers

Creation and management of regulatory documents required by the customers or some official organisms in order to start or to continue the commercialization of finished goods.

Contacts with the raw materials suppliers in order to obtain the documents (= certificates & regulatory documents) needed to rule on the conformity of the finished goods.

Analyzing parts for obsolescence /Replacement /Alternate and life cycle management. 2) Previous Employment:

Development of Nickel base and Titanium alloy materials specifications for Aero Engines.

Development of new processes/ materials for Aero engines along with subject matter Experts (SME) from EU and USA regions.

Mapping of chemical substances (Substances to spec mapping, Standard to substance mapping) from AMS, ASTM, EN, MIL standards

REACH product risk data base management

Analysis and Interpretation of materials test data for Tensile, Hardness, Fatigue, Creep, Stress Rupture, Impact, Fracture Toughness, Physical and Elastic Properties

Technical report writing.

Approval of forgings drawings for aero engine components.

Validation of mechanical test results received from test houses before loading the Data onto the database. Preparation of design database.

Legacy technical data capturing and digitization to load the data onto the database.

Presentation of analyzed materials test data results to the data panel (SME’s) and working with the data team to load the data onto the database upon the data panel’s approval.

Spec coordination work: Preparation of process, quality specifications upon customer approval.

Creation of SDS and updating data in IMDS for automobile parts.
