My job description as a front desk officer are as follow;

As a junior programmer at Elite, I was involved majorly on the following;

As an assistant dredge Engineer on board my job description is limited and with the head of the head Engineer I was able to execute the following;
Works with the Chief Engineer to ensure the safe and efficient operation of engines, motors, and equipment of the dredge.
Inspects engines and other machinery onboard dredge and make use it is operating properly.
Stands engine room watches during specified periods to ensure that engines and machinery are operating properly.
Works closely with Chief Engineer to report any unusual conditions.
Checks the amount of fuel being used and advises the Chief Engineer or Deck Captain as required.
Uses hand and power tools to repair machinery.
Maintains engine room log books.
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Chief Engineer or Deck Captain.
Orders supplies and maintains an appropriate parts inventory.
Ensures that engines are greased, oiled and repaired as necessary.
Monitors gages for proper operations and makes appropriate dissections.
Performs other related administrative and technical duties as may be assigned or requested by immediate supervision (such as certification training, safety training, procedure review, etc.).
