Worked in close conjunction with department heads and line managers to provide solution teams for DB’s “Operational Excellence” programs and regulatory remediation programs. In addition to providing tactical service teams and resources, I developed a transformation and accounting reporting system using Microsoft Access and various database back ends to provide the client with weekly visibility and transparency reports that verified the work being performed and tracked budget to actual dollars spent for each work stream. In addition to the transformation reporting, I developed database tools that allowed the DB to formulate disaster recovery plans for tier 1 & tier 2 applications and the resources required to keep these systems functioning during a disaster situation.

Responsible for the accurate reporting of the wind down of a $31B global real estate and conduit loan portfolio due to the takeover of Merrill Lynch and conflicts with the Bank Holding Company Act. I ensured that total informational transparency existed on the underlying collateral of these portfolios. I transitioned portfolios and technology and informational requirements to investors such as Blackstone over the disposition transition period. I effectively managed the transition of information to buyer’s infrastructure platforms and ensured that all regulatory and compliance standards were met.

I was also responsible for the migration of core legacy systems to new host environments at Bank of America, and ensuring that new production processes were in compliance with both internal banking and SEC requirements. Director, Chief Information Officer

Developed a global asset management system, RAMS, to manage the accurate reporting of 31B global portfolio consisting of real estate, CMBS derivatives, and alternative asset class principal investments held in 12 currencies. Using SQL Server, and a Microsoft Access Reporting engine that was productionized via a COM wrapper. I designed, developed and implemented the global reporting platform that housed all real estate, loans, and principal investments that served as a basis for corporate reporting until the takeover by Bank of America.

Working globally, I developed strong international relationships and synergies with regional CFO and COO offices to facilitate the accurate and timely flow of information during the pre-investment period as well and the hold and disposition cycles. Lead and managed a global team of professionals to verify and forecast valuations, appraisals, and financial reporting. Worked in close partnership with Market Risk

Management and Credit Risk Management in the on-boarding of new assets, the accurate reporting of asset management activities during the investment hold period, and monitored disposition strategies to hit targeted internal rate of return goals. Managed a department of 20 professionals in support of the Debt Markets Mortgage trading desk. Was responsible for all technical and operational functions of the department; yearly budgets, profit forecasting for our Bloomberg bases analytic platform, compensation and VICP bonus structures.

Ran the reverse engineering group that allowed mortgage traders to analyze the structures of other CMO’s in the market in relation to CMO’s in position using proprietary technology and software developed in house by my group. This function allowed for the analysis and benchmarking of CMO’s using custom prepayment speeds and loss assumptions.

Designed and implemented mobile underwriting platform used in the deconstruction and analysis of failed/non-performing loan pools.

Designed, developed, and implemented the collateral analysis tool that finally moved Merrill Lynch off of mainframe dependency and into distributed personal computing. Responsible for the collateral analysis of all residential and commercial securitizations of the governments RTC (Resolution Trust Corporation) cleanup of failed savings and loan institutions. Was lead analyst of a transactions team that executed over 100 billion dollars of securities, whole loan trading transactions, and direct position take-downs.
