DATA SYNCHRONIZATION
This module is intended to bring the data in synchronization between two databases: - IMS and DB2. Though many fields of DB2 are refreshed from IMS; there exists some fields that are out of sync in contract related tables, which are updated from the respective master DB2 tables. The ultimatum is to make these fields in Sync with respect to the latest information, which is stored in the IMS database. To accomplish this, a new set of programs are developed to fetch the data from IMS and apply upon the DB2 contract tables through the Master DB2 tables.
PURGING AND RE-SEQUENCING
This Module was initiated for the maintenance of error tables for items and members. A process was set up to delete the unwanted erroneous records and re-sequence the item related and member related error tables.
DATA ARCHIVAL
In order to increase efficiency of CMS contract processing application system, the data in CMS tables (meant to hold currently active data) needs to be effectively maintained such that only the most frequently used and relevant data as required in daily processing is kept.
