JOB RESPONSE
Prepares, assembles and calibrates equipment.
Assists the Anesthesiologists.
Assists in management of the department.
Educates and evaluates department staff and trainees.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
equired and responses to trauma and major disaster plan.
Assembles, checks and prepares anaesthesia equipment prior to surgery.
Assembles, checks and calibrates monitoring equipment.
Prepares, operates and troubleshoots all monitoring equipment during surgery.
Ensures that required drugs, supplies, infusion fluids and equipment are readily available prior to and during surgery.
Prepares for all anaesthesia procedures like blood transfusion, intravascular catheterization, invasive and non-Invasive monitoring equipment, general, regional or local anaesthesia, chemotherapy and organ transplantation as needed.
Prepares for and inserts I.V. line.
Prepares and administers drugs under anaesthesiologist’s supervision as prescribed.
Monitors and maintains patient’s body temperature.
Assists anaesthesiologist with intra-hospital patient transfer with monitoring as required.
Prepares and assists in patient position for surgical procedures.
Assists the anaesthesiologist during anaesthesia Induction by manual ventilation and Intubation under anaesthesiologist supervision as required.
Checks blood and blood products with anaesthesiologist and administers them under anaesthesiologist supervision.
