Professional Experience

Sierra Wireless, 2018-2020

Regional Sales Manager, Central United States

Sierra Wireless is a multinational wireless communications equipment designer and manufacturer headquartered in Richmond, BC, Canada. Sierra sells mobile computing, IoT, and machine-to-machine (M2M) communications products that work over cellular networks.

Directed existing partners throughout the central US that resell the Sierra Wireless product line but also responsible in bringing on new partners in this territory. Together we would work directly on new opportunities with end customers.

Had a sales quota of new revenue quarterly of $1M for products and services within my territory. Deal sizes could range from $50,000 to over $750,000 and could include hardware, software, and data services. Delivered over 100% to quota in my first year and was on target for the current year.

Responsible for selling the Sierra line of products, which included gateways, data connectivity, and their SaaS platforms.

Generated new leads through account research, networking, and cold-calling.

Relationships with decision makers were cultivated through prospecting efforts, which included meetings, trade shows, and other sales events.

Clients like Baker Hughes, Entergy, Daktronics, Williams, ConocoPhillips and Phillips 66 were just some of the companies I hunted into and managed.

Hunted into targeted natural resource accounts, security customers and other utility customers across the US. In one example, I brought on Neptune Technology Group, which is one of the leading water monitoring service companies.

Zayo Group, 2013-2018

Senior Account Manager, Wholesale Channel

Zayo Group is a growing telecom company that has a fiber network in North America and in Europe with revenue of over two billion dollars annually.

Executed on our sales plan for large wholesale customers that are located primarily in the central and western US.

Successfully grew accounts such as Vonage, West Corp, Nokia, New York Daily News, along with large financial firms that are in the high-velocity trading sector.

In one example, took one customer that was billing $900 a month to over $90,000 a month.

My NPS grading scores were consistently a 10 out of 10 from my customers.

During my last twelve months, I achieved sales quota over 120% to quota including over 200% for the last quarter.

I was the first person chosen for a new group within Zayo and helped create the processes and methods for the group along with assisting in the development of the group’s training manual.

Level 3 Communications (now known as Lumen), 2005-2007/2009-2013 National Sales Account Manager

Level 3 is one of the largest local and wholesale telecom companies in the US and Europe. They merged with Centurylink and they recently changed their corporate name to Lumen.

Managed account base of over $5 million billing annually.

For 2012, achieved sales quota of 225% to quota, and led my group for the year.

Consistently in the top 25 of all account managers in the company at over 140% of sales quota.

I was chosen to be Sales Lead for the Central region.

Also, managed two different sales teams.

Sold to businesses who resold Level 3 products. Interacted with customers on a daily basis.

Managed customer relationship with a customer base of over $6 million in annual billing.

Achieved 173% of quota for 2006, earning President’s Club honors.

XO Communications, 2008

Carrier Account Manager

XO Communications provides telecommunications services to large corporations, small and medium-sized businesses, and other telecom carriers over a one million mile network.

Sold fiber services to wholesale customers who resold XO’s network and services.

Handled a customer base with billing revenue of over $2 million in annual billing.
