About Plant:- Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Station is running under the Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited is situated at Birsinghpur in Distt. Of Umaria in M.P. It include four 210 MW and a 500 MW unit.

In this power station the boiler which is used is manufactured by ABL Babcock Corporation Limited in 210 MW and by BHEL in 500 MW unit. The boiler planted in this plant is generally classified into front and rear fired, water tubes balanced draught, natural circulation, pulverized coal fired water boiler. There are total 24 coal bunkers. Also oil guns are used to ignite the furnace.

Six mills with PA fans are installed in one unit. The ball and race mills are supplied by APL Company. Six drag thick coal feeders and six number of rear air fans are used. The turbine is manufactured by KWU (Kraft work union).The energy is generated and transmitted through

220 KV feeders.
