Microsoft BI Analyst – Power BI / SSIS
Designed a data warehouse focused on performing analysis on census data provided via an EMR system.
Connected nightly to Best Home Health’s EMR system (with SSIS packages) to pull census information and future appointments scheduled in the system. Stored the information in data mart for analysis in Power BI.
Helped build analytics around claims to compare cost of procedures that the business used for reducing costs and this data was used in negotiation and increase throughput of services at the health system. Analysis was primarily done using T-SQL and loading data in SQL Server using excel files and compare cost of procedures done across various providers and associated opportunity cost should those procedures be shifted internally in the healthcare system.

Microsoft BI Analyst – Denial Analysis
Built a data mart that connected to claims files coming from various sources including SQL Server and Excel files.
Data mart was built using SQL Server Integration Services packages.
Packages connected to various sources (in case of multiple excel files looping through a folder location to identify all data with denial files) and loaded them into the data mart while performing lookups and modeling to fit it into a star schema to perform analysis by BI team
Took data from star schema data source and imported into a Microsoft Power BI Data Set for analysis
Power BI report included creating bookmarks that lets different stakeholders switch between views.
Created dynamic measures which were dependent on slicer values and using SelectedValue function in DAX script to switch the measure value based on slicer value in the Power BI visual. This enabled users to have one visual but the measure it displayed was dynamic
Helped team support the application and enhancements received from various stakeholders.
