Duration: 1 year
Description: The chemicals used were acetic acid, water, toluene, sodium hydroxide, phenolphthalein indicator; in this experiment heavy phase was water & lighter phase was mixture of toluene and acetic acid. The extracted acetic acid from mixture using water, since acetic acid is soluble in water the result showed that RDC can be used for continuous extraction process. Effect of disc rotation speed and numbers of disc also have effect on extraction efficiency.
