Title: A LOW POWER ECG PROCESSOR AND HYBRID COMPRESSION FOR HEALTH CARE APPLICATION

Organisation: KIT-Kalaignarkarunanidhi Institute of Technology, Coimbatore.

Objective: To design a novel real-time QRS detector and an ECG compression architecture for IoT healthcare devices.

Project Description: Cardiovascular problems is a very common disease that might cause sudden death in some cases if not treated in time. Healthcare sensors capture vital physiological data for monitoring and diagnosing patients. Holter monitors record and monitor continuous electrocardiogram (ECG) data for 24 hours, and hence are constrained by power consumption. Hybrid compression technique by combining variable length compression and dictionary compression is used to improve the compression efficiency.
