This system is written in RPG ILE using service programs and free format RPG. Used Embedded SQL, RPGLE, SDA, CLP, embedding XML tags, RDI, X-Analysis, Implementer, FTP, Zebra Label Printing, SOAP, REST etc.

CDW has a home grown AS400 based system. Involved in the census project program writing, regression testing and implementation. They used Agile methodology approach. Also involved in fulfillment, shipping, label and packing list printing. Worked on help desk tickets as and when wanted. Involved in the system study, requirements and coding changes of transportation Management project.

This system is an AS400 based ERP system by IBS, this integrates AS400 technologies with EDI, Web and other technology to drive an order taking and warehousing application. Involved in the maintenance and future enhancements for order taking, web order updates, picking, fulfillment, shipping and tracking.

iGATE: Oct 2014 thru Feb 2015 as a Project Lead at IGate a leading IT firm based in US and India.

This system is written in RPF ILE, RPG 400 and free format RPG. Used Embedded SQL, Service programs, FTP, SDA and spool file transfer to other systems

Involved in the maintenance of this system. Doing systems study of this system to finally modernize this.

ULINE : Aug 2008 thru Sept 2014 worked as a consultant in IT dept of ULINE, a leading Packaging and shipping supplier at Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin.

ORDERING SYSTEM:

This system is written in RPG ILE, RPG 400 and free format RPG. Used Embedded SQL, Service programs, FTP, SDA and Data Queues.

This involved order processing from green screen, JAVA system and the net. Processing of the order is done on the AS400. System also does credit card encryption and processing. Sends order confirmation emails to customers. Have been involved in every aspect of this system.

WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS.

This system is written in RPG ILE, RPG IV and free format RPG. Used Store procedures, Service programs, Embedded SQL, SDA, Zebra Label printing, SOAP, REST, COBOL, web services and DRDA.

This system takes care of all the fulfillment and shipments of the packages . System involves labels and bar code printing, use of Zebra, Konica and Lexmark printer. Intellegrated conveyer system is used for automatic shipment verification. Freight vendors, FEDEX and UPS are used for shipments. Shipment confirmation emails are send to the customers. Have been involved in every aspect of the system.

CRATE AND BARREL: June 2000 thru August 2008. Crate and Barrel is a leading house ware and furniture retail store. I work in their MIS department at the corporate head office in Northbrook, Illinois. We have 3 in house AS400 System.

TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM:

This system is written in RPG IV and free format RPG. Used Access data base, FTP, SDA and Data Queues.

This system handles all the package delivery from the centralized warehouse using carrier like UPS, USPS and FedEx. Responsible for sending Manifest data, receiving Invoice data electronically. Also responsible for taking care of the reporting needs of the logistics department. The system is written in RPGLE, some parts of the module are written in VB.

CUSTOMER DATA SYSTEM:

This system is written in RPG IV and free format RPG. Used Access data base, FTP and SDA.

This system is responsible for accumulating customer related data consolidating it at household level and generating sales email campaign as well as addresses for Catalog.

AL HASHAR & COMPANY, OMAN: worked since January 1988 until May 2000 at the in house MIS Department of a large of Companies in the Sultanate of Oman, as Senior Systems Executive.

We had 2 In-house AS/400, PC LAN and IBM PS/2 at our Branches. The Department had a set of about 25 people, all our systems were written in RPG II and RPG 400. We had a team of 8 programmers who were responsible for various systems development, enhancement, etc.

PROJECTS handled are as follows:

PARTS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: Customization and upgradation of NISSAN Parts Operating System.

The system included modules for, On line sales of parts, Suggested order, Calculation its modification and transmission through Satellite to Japan, Parts Receiving System, Backorder processing, Stocktaking, Branch transfers, Daily Sales and MIS reports.

The system customization took about 2 years, upgradation and further addition of modules were always being done. The System was originally written in RPG II, subsequent upgradations were done in RPGLE 400.

CREDIT CONTROL SYSTEM: Designed, Developed and Implemented Credit Control System for the group of Companies.

This included modules for sales and Invoicing of Vehicles, Entry of cheques and Cash receipts, posting of invoices from parts and garage, Customer Inquiry, Debit notes and Credit notes entry, Debtors Ledger, Daily, Monthly, yearly and MIS reports.

The system was written in RPG II, it took about 1 years to implement. The entire system was re-written in RPGLE, to take care of various enhancement and making it Y2K compliant, this was a 1 year project done along with 3 programmers.

BRANCH PARTS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: Branch parts management is a stand alone PC version of parts system running at 20 branches. It includes modules for online Sales of parts, Branch transfers and receiving of parts, uploading and downloading of data to AS/400 using CA/400 some branches are directly connected to AS/400 with SDLC protocol using dailup Modems. It took 2 years to implement.

Apart from the above system I was also included in the implementation of the Service, Payroll and financial accounting package system.

N.M. RAIJI & COMPANY: Worked as Senior Programmer from October 1983 till December 1987, with this leading Chartered Accountancy firm in Bombay, in their Software Consultancy Division using Wipro-86e and IBM Compatible PCs using COBOL language, for their clients like CEAT TYRES, Caprihans, Nirlons, etc.

PROJECTS Worked on were:

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING SYSTEM: The Financial Accounting system included modules for entry of all types of vouchers, Daily register printing, Ledger and Subledger printouts, Trial Balance, Balance sheet and Profit and Loss Printing, Accounts Receivable and Bills Payable.

The system was developed using COBOL language. It took 2 years to implement.

SALES ACCOUNTING SYSTEM: The Sales Accounting system included Data gather and validation of invoices from branches, printing of various reports based on branch, Customer type, Customer, Product, etc. Reports for Customs duty and exercise paid, Sales Forecast, etc.

The system was written in COBOL language, took a year to implement.

BRANCH ACCOUNTING SYSTEM: The Branch Accounting system included online printing of Sales Invoicing, Stock updation, Daily Stock and Sales Register printing.

The system was written in COBOL language, it took one year to implement.

COSTING SYSTEM: The costing system contained Data Entry module for entering raw material for finished products, computing the requirement for raw material based upon Sales Forecast for the finished goods.

The system was written in COBOL language, it took 6 months to implement.
