- Service Group Manager - Manages the Service Group including the resources, people and mainly the performance. Works closely with Market Leaders to create and maintain effective and good working relationship with Clients, Project Directors and Job Managers. Provides leadership to the Service Group in line with the company values and objectives. The Service Group Manager is responsible for the performance and utilisation of the group, achievement of target revenue and growth, and implementation of the company business direction.

Tasks of the Service Group Manager are as follows: 1. Management and workload procurement for each member of the Service Group. 2. Creating, developing and agreeing project packages within the bounds of team and company capability with Job Managers, Project Directors and Clients.

3. Ensuring sound technical output and practical application of design solutions to projects at hand. 4. Building and maintaining effective relationships with fellow Service Group Managers, Market Leaders, Support Personnel and current and prospective Clients. 5. Managing allocation of personnel to current and anticipated projects. 6. Ensuring Health and Safety of each member of the Service Group. 7. Initiate job openings as necessary and assist in the hiring process through interviews and recommendations.

- Design Manager - Leads the Manila Team assigned to service the Hong Kong Lead office which is comprised of five disciplines namely Façade Design, Drainage Design, Structures Design (Revit Modelling), Electrical Design and Project Administration.

Tasks of the Design Manager are as follows:

1. Procure projects that can be delivered by the Manila team for the lead office in cooperation with Lead Project Managers from the Hong Kong Office. Project procurement includes setting out timeframe, manpower availability and preparation of contract including budget and terms that will be carried out by the Manila team.

2. Ensure delivery of projects to the lead office within the specified deadline, with minimal to no corrections and up to quality standards of both the Manila office and Hong Kong Office and most importantly within the specified budget.

3. Progress monitoring of current projects including percent completion of work and amount spent for the ongoing projects. Weekly reports are sent to lead office for review and updates are given to the lead office even on a daily basis to assure that there is enough workload for the Manila Team. 4. Preparation of utilization report of members of Manila team that is submitted to lead office for review. 5. Progress with Professional Development Review of staff members whether it be the 1st month, 5th month or yearly review. In line with this, the Design Manager also seeks out possible seminars & trainings suitable for each member of the team.

6. Growing the Manila team in number with the help of the recruitment team. Part of the Design Manager’s job is to review CVs, conduct interviews and exam as appropriate for the position and progress with hiring the appropriate candidate for the job.

7. Performance bonuses for team members are identified by the Design Manager. 8. Daily spot checks and even detailed checks of work by team members are carried out by the Design Manager.

9. For bigger projects that would need collaboration with other teams in the Arcadis Manila office, it is the task of the Design Manager to be involved with the project planning up to project execution and delivery. 10. For all projects new and ongoing, it is the Design Manager’s task to make sure that Purchase Orders for the services of the Manila team is placed by the lead office and would amount to the work as needed by the team.

11. At the end of each month, the Design Manager is tasked to complete the invoices to be forwarded to the lead office for the services of the Manila team. Each invoice should be checked and made sure to be correct in conjunction with the time spent by the staff in Manila.

- Design Engineer II - Leads a group of two or three engineers in undertaking design of a specific unit for a project in the Oil and Gas Industry. Responsible for the structural design and production of sketches as input for Designers to put into drawings.

- Senior Bridge Engineer / Consulting Engineer - Leads a group of two or three engineers and two or more CAD technicians. This includes planning timetable to meet deliverables, dividing tasks upon members including the Senior Engineer himself. The job includes correspondence with lead offices, preparation of drawings and deliverables, checking of design calculations and drawings by Junior Engineers and CAD technicians and also doing calculations (STAAD modelling and analysis, interpretation of results and design check) himself, and responding to comments by clients.
