NIELSEN SERVICES S.L. October 2015 – February 2017
Systems Technician, administration, support and Service delivery
Support to Big clients (Coca-Cola, P&G, Heineken and more) as partner of the Mirror Project (Image recognition). Lead the Tier 2 and 3 area, support to the internal staff and co-workers (developers, consultants). Meetings with EEUU, South America, Europe and Asia and manage the IT improvisation, maintenance and patches/upgrades.
I started as L2 Lead in Nielsen. These teams were in Pune and Chennai (India) and have between 5-10 people. After my 1st year I reached L3 and for it the company rewarded me as Integrated value.
My experience from Mirror service delivery was meet the needs of clients, customers and stakeholders, from the early requirement stages of the projects (hardware and software needs, cloud and systems infrastructure
.) to the ticket, support and post delivered project support with OS tickets and later moved to an internal developed tool to help ticket management providing help and management in any matter they required.
We managed the IT of the 3 floors company site (new it equipment, wireless settings and configuration, NAS and SAN storage for employers). We have in the local datacenter windows and Linux server OS with backup and storage rack systems. The user’s computers were Windows mainly and IOS for developers (80%-20%). The main cloud consists a 3-cloud server dedicated in SEMTRUM, UK, but if the client needs to have in another location, we can manage to do it possible talking with other tech team in the location preferred. The whole platform was VMware based, but Nielsen have some Azure and AWS for test and development. The local servers were mainly Windows 2012 with most of the roles and some of the critical software and services clustered (like SQL servers accessed by Heidy), FTP and data sharing services.
We managed scripts is with CMD/Bash, markup languages - Web-based languages (JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, XML) and PowerShell to create, modify or improve scripts. In other languages, I only did debug when was necessary to help with debugging. The technology platform have thousands of machines and instances that must be manipulated by a console with Powershell and Powershell CLI where I was able to do, create, modify and improve the current ones and creation of new ones too.
I created and scheduled scripts with the task scheduler to make a server restart in a determinate hour and time, to run a backup procedure, to run, restart or close a concrete software. Also with PowerShell, I was able to create by myself a command to convert between Hyper-V and VMware Machines to attend business or clients' needs (a complex task resolved by a simple Powershell command by my own research and by scratch).
As L3 I coordinated the different levels of tickets, prioritizing between teams, levels of the tickets, updating/creating new documentation, managed severity one alerts and in direct contact with the clients, managed meetings between teams, covering afternoon shifts to coordinate between different tech areas and multiple locations.
I handled Multiple clients few are: BE_DEMB, BR_LOREAL, CH_JTI, CO Colgate, US_KC, DE_FRIE, DK_BAT, US_UN_REAL_Time, MIRROW3.

Responsible for all technical aspects and I also worked as the assistant of the technical systems area (with windows servers, SQL servers, 1 linux platform for test and network shared folders (for users and departments storage, CCTV). Coaching volunteers to share knowledge and skills with them, improvements on the internal systems and upgrades. Working with 3rd party companies (like Sony pictures with their famous hacking problem) and certifying the erasure of the HDD provided by the companies.
I helped to the System team with the migration of their whole IT from W7 to W10 having their data, access and permissions secured and deployed a WDS server with all versions (x86 and x64) and in any language. We worked with Sony regarding they need a company to develop the hard secured and certificated erasure of their affected computers, HDD and USB devices (the software used was Blancco data erasure). Sony trusted us to do that job and I was selected to go to their main EU office in central London.
