SELECTED NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Spearheaded adoption of Hazard Identification Training at the Reeves County Detention Center III facility. Clearly defining chemical hazards by obtaining updated manufacturer labels and SDS for all chemical containers, training all employees in compliance with the GHS regulations. Trained over 80 staff members on understanding the meaning of label information and use of SDS. Conducted annual EHS audits and regular staff safety education / training. Compiled, analyzed, and interpreted statistical data related to incident occurrences and documented abatement actions.

Reduced the incident rate at the Reeves County Detention Center III facility with job safety and hazard identification training, and signage from 9.6 to 3.2. Identified an increase in STF rates and conducted specified training to Department Chairpersons, Collateral Duty Safety Officers, and to all staff to focus awareness of STF occurrence and drive down occurrences.

Achieved zero incidents/accidents for more than three years at Insight Environmental, Engineering and Construction, Inc. through enhanced site safety monitoring and personnel safety education / training including site safe work practices, chemical hazard safety, heavy equipment safety, safe lifting, and equipment inspection. This created a safety culture supported by management, project managers, four site superintendents, and 27 laborers as evidenced by the reduction in the TRIR, improved personnel retention, and increased productivity.

Decreased staff exposure rate to COC at Insight Environmental, Engineering and Construction, Inc. through staff training and adding AHA and SDS review into the daily safety meeting policy Including air, water, and soil sampling.
