• Responsible to direct and supervise overall operation and maintenance, testing, for substation and related LILO/Bay transmission facilities and auxiliary systems fire, DG, Battery etc.

• Manage, coordinates and supervise the operations, maintenance, and testing in accordance with O&M SOP’s, OEM recommendations and best in class prudent industry practices to ensure highest availability, reliability at utmost operational efficiency.

• Prepares daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules of substation equipment and facilities. Direct and supervise implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance activities at substation and unplanned or emergency preparedness plans.

• Perform schedule Preventive Maintenance of all 765kV Switchyard Equipments, FFPH Equipments, 220V Battery Bank & Battery Charger, 48V Battery & Battery Charger, 33kV VCB & Transformer, ACDB & DCDB panels, Emergency DG set as per SAP PM Notification.

• Handling major repair or replacement of faulty electrical equipment, testing of electricity systems and correct any faults and test electrical work for safety. Ensure readiness to handle emergencies.

• Issuing, Implementation & following basic requirements of TBT, SOPs, SMPs, SWIs, HIRA/JSA & LOTOTO for all electrical operation & maintenance activity.

• Creating SAP notification, SAP Order creation, Issuing PTW through SAP for all Isolation permits.

• Ensure execution of condition-based monitoring, perform fault/trip/failure analysis and to plan for predictive maintenance to increase the up time of the system. Identifying areas of bottlenecks / breakdowns and taking steps to rectify the equipment’s through application of trouble shooting tools like root cause analysis and various problem-solving methods.

• Maintaining & tracking the defect log created, tracking of PM schedules etc.

• Ensuring stringent adherence to quality standards, norms practices, identifying gaps and taking corrective and preventive action and support for internal and external audit requirements. Performing internal audits and inspections as required and supporting to closure on audit findings.

• Responsible for maintaining of records and data properly as per business need for substation.

• Handling major repair & replacement of faulty electrical equipment by corrective action, testing of electrical system to check the healthiness & safety. Ensure the readiness in minimum time to handle emergencies.

• Support & assist internal & external audits, performing internal audits & inspection for Fire & safety audit, 5S audit, IMS audit etc.

• Maintaining records & data of substation properly as per business need & audit purpose.

• Consult with OEM & vendors as required to enhance reliability at optimum cost far assets.

• Responsible for spare parts planning, initiate procurement and control inventories & ensure critical inventory availability at site. Maintain inventory list of spare parts and tools/tackles required for site activities.

• Planning for WRPC OCC planned outages & resources, spares, manpower etc.

• Co-ordination with WRLDC, PGCIL Raipur, PGCIL Bilaspur & PGCIL Warora for regarding Line & Equipment shutdown, Line & Equipment Tripping, Outage proposal etc.

• Making RCA report, DOR, DR & Event log for any grid disturbance in line & substation etc.

• Preparing Daily Report, Daily Alarm/Event log, Monthly PM records, Monthly Aux. Power consumption tracking report, Monthly Availability Report of Transmission Line & Substation, DG Running Hours & Diesel Consumption report etc.

• Responsible for spare parts planning, initiate procurement and control inventories. Ensure that critical inventory is available at site and is properly received, handled, stored and accounted for. Maintains inventory list of spare parts and tools/ tackles required for O&M activities.

• Responsible for ensuring the enforcement of and compliance with all applicable company policies, procedures and code of ethics & compliances as well as all applicable government laws and regulations to include safety and environmental standards & regulations.

• Risk Identifying, anticipating and managing problems, such as lack or delay of information or materials, errors on drawings, insufficient resources, inclement weather, unexpected issues and events and other problems that threaten the success of the asset.

• Support the deliverables for the grid co-ordination activities for day to day operations, monthly availability certifications and engage with SLDC/RLDC/POSOCO bodies as applicable.
