General Electric Transportation Systems:

Project Description:

Engine Control System (ECS) is a subsystem, which is part of the Locomotive software that controls the operation of the diesel engine based on requests from other locomotive sub-systems, fault restrictions or turbo phenomena. ECS plays a key role in maintaining the Engine’s performance and increasing engine lifetime by

Automatically optimizing diesel engine performance, during abnormal operating conditions and maintaining the maximum horsepower without damage to the engine

Detect tunnels based on oil derivative, GPS (geo-fence)

Remaining horsepower calculation at the current engine speed and atmospheric condition

Provide sensor, solenoid and relay fault detection

Provide self-test capability of system components Contribution:

Worked closely with Product Management, Development and Operations to test new features as they are being developed

Worked with cross-functional teams to identify and develop test cases for functional and performance testing

Helped create development quality processes for a team of senior software developers to ensure products are released on schedule with a high-quality bar

Worked closely with the software development team to identify improvements

Reviewed design and technical specifications and translated them in to test cases maximizing test coverage.

Executed Test cases and logged in to bug tracking system.

Provided comprehensive QA test reports.

Operated with limited oversight to fulfill duties

Helped in configuring testing environments, installation and upgrade of packages Honeywell Technology Solution Lab

Project Description:

Redundancy Management module of FMS Software includes the functionality of synchronizing the data from pilot Flight Management System to co-pilot Flight Management System. This is to provide the backup if one FMS fails during flight. The other major functionality of this module is Secondary Flight Plan synchronization, Flight Plan security, communication between air and ground.

Contribution:

Created test strategies, design test suites and performed the test execution

Created and executed test plans and worked with Automation team on defining the automation test plans for new products or enhancements and for existing products. Defined moderate level scenarios and variations in data to adequately perform testing

Reported test results and status as appropriate. Tracked defects and causal analysis to closure

Performed Functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing

Identified related areas to test based on delivered bug fixes and features

Demonstrated the ability to coordinate and prioritize work required Infosys Technologies Limited

The project was executed for a North American Telecom Giant which provides ISPs with WAN edge devices also known as Remote Access Switches which are used by dial-in clients to get connected to an internet. New hardware cards were supported for these remote access switches that supported high-speed data transmission using SONET (Synchronous Optical Network) and SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy). The project handles testing these new hardware cards along with all the signaling that they support.

Contribution:

Responsible for writing test plans, test scripts, test reports, submitting defects, performing test execution and validation

Effectively wrote and executed test plans, test scripts, defects and test reports

Worked in a fast-paced multi-dimensional work environment under minimal supervision

Effectively applied critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to efficiently identify the root cause and effect of software and/or hardware related issues

Worked closely with onshore and offshore QA & development teams

Wrote applications in C, shell, Perl, python scripts for test automation and test applications

Setup test environment for testing and defect reproduction/duplication

Applied basic Linux user/admin capabilities

Created and executed performance and stress tests to ensure code meets SLA
