Intern at a Maintenance and Repair Overhaul (MRO) – GMR Hyderabad, India (April 2019–May 2019)
Worked on the Airbus A320 and the Boeing 737 systems under the supervision of engineers to learn about flight systems, avionics, and interaction of these systems for safe flights.
Worked in the Planning and Quality Department to understand the functioning of a process-driven organization, client handling, and interdepartmental communication and learn quality control of critical tasks. PROJECTS:
Endurance UAS for Air Quality Research – CHPS, UC Davis July 2020 – Present
Responsible for a 5000$ grant for the design and development of a large multi-rotor capable of carrying a 3-pound payload with a flying time of at least 60 minutes and tailored for Air Quality measurement.
Designed all structural elements from scratch to reduce maximum weight and strengthen load-bearing elements Urban Air Mobility – NASA University Student Design Challenge Jan 2020 – June 2020
Team lead in designing a UAS and its supporting peripherals for the transport of a 5-pound payload.
Responsible for the design of UAS flight systems, such as Flight Controller, Navigation systems, Communication Systems, Abort Systems, and Detect and Avoid System.
Designed an efficient variable pitch propeller system based on Blade Element Theory and SIMULINK to simulate a variable pitch controller.
Design of Non-Weight Bearing Chebyshev Linkage System Jan 2020 – June 2020
The project scope is to build a modified Chebyshev linkage system to mimic arthropod limb movements. This system is designed to withstand high variations in temperature and operate in a high particulate atmosphere.
Played a vital role during the design phase and handled DFMEA, BOM, developing a testing plan Lunar Excavator Rover, Eclipse Rocketry, UC Davis October 2019 – February 2020
Responsible for the design and development of drivetrain for the rover capable of withstanding high G forces
Developed a novel drivetrain integrated into the rover's wheels and 3D printed as a single unit
Developed communication systems for the rover and responsible for payload integration and retention into the rocket.
ACTIVITIES:
Eclipse Rocketry, UC Davis (October 2019 – February 2020) – Payload and Payload Integration
Squash Club UC Davis, Financial Officer (November 2019 – Present)
Volunteer at SOAR: Community outreach program aimed at promoting STEM topics to high school students
Technical Co-head - Aerospace Department – ANOKHA 2019: Successfully conducted and coordinated 3 Workshops, 4 Competitions, 1 Exhibition for the Annual Techfest
Selected for Indigo Cadet Pilot Program – 2016 Successfully cleared a nation-wide selection process involving Aptitude tests, Psychometric tests, Multitasking and Battery Tests for pilots, Group Discussion and Personal Interview
