JOBSUMMARY:-

Dialysis Therapist Functions in Multiple roles, which include Dialyzer Reuse, Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting, Water Treatment Monitoring and Direct patient care. The Dialysis Therapist is the primary direct caregiver for patients undergoing dialysis treatment. The job holder works closely with, and under the direct supervision of Unit-in-charges as an important member of the patient care team.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Medical care

1.Assemble necessary supplies to conduct dialysis procedure, prepare dialysis according to established procedures and the dialysis prescription.

2.Assemble and prepare the dialysis extracorporeal circuit according to protocol and dialysis prescription.

3.And Verify absence of residual sterilize.

4.Test monitor and machine function, including alarms, conductivity and temperature. Set

Monitor and alarms according to unit and manufacture protocol.

5.Discard dialysis supplies and sanitize equipment according to manufacture and unit protocol.

6.Ensure RO reading are in safe limits and water level is maintained for the subsequent shift documents the data.

Patient Care

1.Maintain professional conduct, good communication skills and confidentiality in the care of patients.

2.Obtain and document, pre-dialysis vital signs, weight and temperature.
