Algorithmic Trading 2020
Created a trading algorithm that can be used on stocks and cryptocurrency exchanges. The algorithm pulls data using API keys. The data from the API used to develop the algorithm which is based on signal compilation. The compiled signals SMA, Bollinger Bands, and MACD. Also used LSTM predictive price model to support signals. The produced signal functions backtested on historical data to show if triggers appear at appropriate points in the past market prices. Connected the algorithm to a trading platform to execute trades based on signals triggered in the algorithm. The main price data used for the signals is daily closing price. The algorithm is suitable for day trading and swing trading. Key tools: Python, LSTM, API, Plotly.
