P E R S ONAL S T A T EMENT

An architect facilitates the effective organization of space in a building, creating a more efficient environment for the client’s uses. I work to bring the diverse parts of a project together to satisfy the needs of the owner. The natural complexity of architecture requires the practitioner to be simultaneously aware of the many details involved. It is also important to be aware of permit and approval requirements, the necessary deadlines, and how these requirements will impact the project.

Although for nearly three years I have worked with Knapp Architects who specialize in historic preservation, my interests in architecture are diverse, from preservation to vernacular architecture to modern design, and include sustainability, material capabilities and new trends in architecture.
