As a medical surgical nurse it was necessary to teach my patients/families post-op care of drains, pain control, and signs and symptoms of infection. While taking care of patients I was also in charge and assigned new patients on my floor.

I was a med-surge nurse on 2-East, a 40 bed unit for Easton Memorial Hospital. I was agency but worked full-time on this unit until I delivered my child. The patients were the same as referenced above because these two hospitals are part of the same system, Shore Health System

Final Comments:

I have been a nurse for 25 years and also have 10 years’ experience in the military. I have a strong foundation for leadership and responsibility. I am regimented and follow through with the expectations that my specialty roles require from me. I feel I am motivated, take accountability for my actions, and set high standards for myself.
