Ira A Fulton School of Engineering, ASU — Lead Tutor, Electrical Engineering (EE) 08/18 – 12/20

• Designed and launched an immersive learning experience for international students and tutors by encouraging collaborative initiatives among existing student organizations.

• Doubled the yearly traffic at the center by collaborating with senior level management and other Lead Tutors to enact new policies.

• Improved overall team subject matter knowledge and performance by creating robust training content for the tutoring team’s reference.

• Established organization reputation and dependability within the student body by managing multiple projects and acting as a liaison between faculty, staff, and students. Joaquin-Bustoz Math Science Honors Program, ASU — Class Supervisor 05/19 - 07/19

• Improved average class grade by 50% through establishing a culture of group goal setting and achievement within the classroom.

• Created a learning atmosphere for the participating students by serving as the point of contact between program management and faculty.

• Promoted a cooperative management structure and increased positive feedback from the students by initiating strong communication channels with other classroom management teams. KPMG, India — Analyst 01/17 - 09/17

• Identified areas of risk improvement in client technology through statistical research and engineering audit.

• Improving existing public infrastructure as the Technical Lead for a large government public venture project.

• Created best in class solutions for clients through risk analysis and management of third-party proposals aimed at meeting clients’ needs.

RESEARCH & PROJECTS

Non-parametric Prediction of Bradycardia: Master’s thesis directed at predicting the onset of bradycardia in preterm infants using non-parametric density estimation and machine learning. ECG signals are preprocessed and analyzed in R and MATLAB using signal processing concepts and the automated algorithm is designed to predict the onset of bradycardia with a 5% error rate.

Data Analytics: Preprocessed and classified data in R achieving a best error rate of 10%. The performance of different classification methods such as decision trees, Naïve-Bayes classifier, and Naïve-Bayes with cross validation was evaluated using the test data set.

Adaptive Filter for Noise Cancellation: Design and implementation of a noise cancelling adaptive filter to find the best fit error convergence curve for a given audio file. Code implemented in MATLAB and minimization of the cost function was done using gradient descent.

Image Compression: Comparative analysis of different compression techniques using MATLAB. Modeling and implementation of the JPEG compression standard was followed by a comparative analysis with existing compression techniques.

Interacting Image Processing App: Implemented image processing tools through an interactive UI and the live video feed from the phone camera through a phone app created using Java. AWARDS

Fall 2020: Ira A Fulton Schools of Engineering IMPACT award for excellence in contributions made to Fulton Schools of Engineering
