SUMMARY
I am an enthusiastic learner with a passion for the healthcare industry who thrives in a fast paced and challenging environment. I am a recent University of Arizona graduate, where I majored in psychology with a thematic minor focusing on Biology, and am currently completing the CNPR program for pharmaceutical sales. My goal is to enter the pharmaceutical sales industry as a young highly motivated and competitive employee. For the entirety of my undergraduate career, I have been employed as a veterinary nurse at clinics in Tucson and in Phoenix. During my time in Vet Med I’ve gained invaluable experience working with many medications and learning about various medical procedures and healthcare processes. Additionally, I have 5 years of experience communicating with doctors, pharmacists and clients. In my current position, I work under 15 different doctors all with different preferences for treatment plans and medications, where I communicate directly with as many as 50 clients daily. That experience has provided me insight into catering to both doctor and client preferences. A large part of my job as a veterinary nurse at an emergency veterinary hospital is effectively communicating treatment options, medications and diagnostics to clients so that they can make informed and financially justified decisions in high pressure and often emotional situations. I pride myself in building positive lasting relationships with all of the medical professionals I work with and for. Although veterinary medicine is a very different field than human medicine, we administer, explain, and prescribe many of the same prescription drugs used in human medicine. I believe that with my current knowledge of pharmacology gained as a veterinary nurse, in addition to my very strong work ethic and drive for success, I would be an excellent addition to a Pharmaceutical sales team. I am eager to start a career in pharma sales and more so to excel as a new addition to your sales force.
