Database Technical Team Lead on FNS (Food and Nutrition Services)

FNS is a multi-million dollar contract that supports the government’s nation-wide food and nutrition program by managing authorization and approval for participating stores across the United States.

Responsibilities:

As team lead participate in the full SDLC life-cycle, including requirements gathering, implementation, and successful production deployment

Oversee development for all releases, including coordinating simultaneous database changes for more than one release. This required the ability to configure and efficiently monitor production, development, integration, and UAT environments to support the overall development effort.

Migrate and operating the database to an AWS Cloud environment

Use expertise in data modeling to design new database modules as well as to update existing modules when there is a need to accommodate enhancements to the existing system

Design, develop and maintain data mart using dimensional modeling.

Design, develop and maintain database objects (triggers, procedures, functions)

Analyze interface requirements, define data flow structures, and design data pipelines using SSIS as the ETL tool for extracting/aggregating/consolidating data from five external systems while working with different types of data sources.

Configure data integration points for the system using SSIS and SQL Replication
