I am very interested in the Information Technology Specialist. I believe my skills and experience with mainframe Cobol debugging and testing, make me a strong candidate. As you can see from the attached resume, I spent 5 years doing very similar work as a Mainframe Software Engineer at Sprint and CSC. I was responsible for the entire life cycle from taking business specs to the warranty phase of the mainframe Cobol projects.

I found out after the loss of my career, I had to deal with moving across Kansas to keep my school age child off of psychiatric medications. This medical issue has been resolved since he is now a college grad. I then focused on my family for the last 10+ years working towards returning to the IT field. I have kept up with new technologies by returning to CCC and ESU. I’ve also updated my computer skills so I’m ready to hit the ground running.

I am very eager to return to the IT field and believe my enthusiasm for IT work, combined with my relevant educational and professional credentials, will help me contribute meaningfully to the organization.
