Reporting to the VP of Operations, I directed multidisciplinary teams in execution of drilling projects and operations in unconventional horizontal and Heavy Oil observation wells. I evaluated risk assessment and measured site challenges and designed detailed drilling programs to optimize operations, continuous improvement, cost estimates, and direct change management. Responsible for strict adherence to health and safety regulations and operational best practices. Procured and reviewed 30+ service agreements.
Key Achievements:
Saved the company $3.0MM (10%) by leveraging technology to alter operations and meet diverse applications, using sound analytical techniques to solve complex operational tasks.
Developed and compiled in detail the Corporate Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and HSE Program for a small start-up company.

Reporting to the Drilling Manager, I led 4 - 6 simultaneous drilling operations with ownership of cost reduction, optimization, and health and safety. Guided and supported Geology and Reservoir Engineering while drilling unconventional horizontal wells and placing multi-stage fracturing equipment in 2,000m lateral sections. Researched operational performance against industry peers ensuring continuous improvement was achieved and KPI targets were met, assessing risk and managing health and safety.
Key Achievements:
Reduced costs by $10MM (15%) across capital projects ensuring best in class technology, to gain advantage against competitors.

Dominion Exploration Canada Ltd. / Baytex Energy Ltd.
Reporting to the COO, I managed 3 - 4 simultaneous drilling operations for unconventional horizontal wells in Western Canada. Coordinated all ERP’s and Critical Sour Operations. Drafted annual operational reviews and identified KPIs for upper management. Procured and reviewed 30+ service agreements.
Key Achievements:
Reduced costs by $1.75MM (5%) by coordinating with Construction and Geology to determine the optimal way to drill multi-well horizontal pads efficiently.
