GPS and LoRaWAN Tracking Device – Advanced Embedded Systems Ann Arbor, MI

oDesigned a custom Printed Circuit Board (PCB) that would function as the main board, Sept. 2020 – Dec. 2020

housing our GPS and LoRa chips.

oCommunicated our trackers GPS data to The Things Network, through gateways that are located around

Ann Arbor, allowing us to track our device for long ranges.

oDeveloped a phone application that runs through Firebase backend, and Android Studios, allowing us to obtain the GPS data from the LoRa Gateways, and display them with Google Maps API, to make the users experience

as good as possible.

oMaintained a low power solution, that allows long battery life and easy re-charging for the user.

Motion Control Video Game – Intro. To Embedded System Design Ann Arbor, MI

oCreated a Flappy Bird style video game, using a FPGA to render the game logic Sept. 2019 – Dec. 2019

and display through VGA using hardware sprites in Verilog through Libero Software Program

oProgrammed wearable IMU’s to send data about human arm orientation back to FPGA through wireless connections and XBEE, to then change bird’s position on the screen display to accurately portray the human motion

oImplemented a dynamic input menu, to allow for an input dependent multiplayer mode, and a better user interface to the game, allowing our users to have the best experience possible
