Charter (DUNS Process) January 2020 – Till Date

Role: Senior BI/ETL Solution Architect

Project Overview: The objective of the initiative was to modernize the existing sale platform to allow more flexibility and scalability. The current platform was based on SQL Server and was stretched to the limit in both configuration and cost. My initial role was to assess the current platform and recommend alternative cloud-based platform options that meet the business and technical requirement. I was also responsible for creation and execution of the migration process from SQL Server to Snowflake.

Role Description

Responsible for migrating DUNS databases from SQL Server to Snowflake.

Key person involved in exporting the metadata and DUNS data from SQL Server to CSV files.

Architected the ETL framework in Python to ingest raw data from AWS S3 to Staging Schema and write Merge SQLs in Snowflakes.

Architected the Snowflake Physical and Logical Modelling.

Created a process to read CSV flat files inside snowflake to read the staged file in AWS S3.

Charter (Enhanced Location Intelligence) July 2018 – Dec 2019

Role: Senior BI/ETL Solution Architect

Project Overview: The objective of the project was to inside into customer behavior-based internet usage pattern and cable subscription to offer additional services. The key challenge of the project was blending Geospatial data acquired from external vendor with internal commercial customer data and household customer data. My role on this project was to come with semantic layer by combining multiple sources to provide seamless access to business customers using BI tools.

The existing cloud platform was based on MYSQL and EA was not able to scale the platform to meet the analytical demand. I was responsible for evaluating multiple cloud based analytical platforms and coming up with recommendation based on EA’s business and technical needs. I was also the lead for migrating the existing platform to snowflake. This initiative provided EA a scalable and high-performance cloud native analytical platform.

Project Overview: This project involves customer development area focusing in deploying reporting from single capabilities like ESRA (Actual reporting of internal sales), EPOS (sell-out information), Perfect Store, OSA (on-self availability) and ISCA (supply chain analytics). The dashboard provided key account managers (KAMs) on-demand access to integrated data from multiple subject areas in a highly interactive and personalized manner. The implementation required collaboration of multiple teams across 5 countries

As a senior consultant at Teradata, my role was to lead complex analytical projects throughout the life cycle of individual project (Analyze, Define, Architect, Develop, and Deploy). I have functioned in various roles within the project depending on the need that include Business Analyst, BI Architect, Data Architect, EDW Solution Architect.

Key Achievements:

-Successfully implemented Healthcare Datawarehouse for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. The initiative encompasses Claim, Clinical, Encounter, and Diagnosis data for clinical analytics from multiple partner hospitals. The solution provides various Claim based KPIs and ACO KPIs for partner hospitals. The solution also provides patient attribution using multiple methodologies and financial performance of physician group. (Technology- Teradata, MicroStrategy, Informatica, Visio 13, UNIX, and Windows.)

-Led a project at NCR to implement reporting for Vendor allowance tracking and how it is impacting the cost of the goods. The solution integrated the raw spending data from multiple sources of the ERP and other systems. Data was extracted for facilitating sourcing performance, reduces maverick spend, increases compliance, and generates savings for NCR. This helped the organization to define favorable payment terms with vendors boosting the company profitability and effectively able to manage the inventory turn to maximize the profit. -Successfully led a team to architect and implement a customer traffic monitoring system on ae.com for American Eagle Outfitters. The solution provided lift analytics involved assisting other findings like web site errors, usability issues and other negative customer experience situations. (Technology- Teradata 14, Teradata Multiload, Teradata BTEQ, Omniture, Tableau, Tidal, UNIX, and Windows.)

-Led a project to enable analytics on Campaign lift analysis, Campaign ROI analysis and Affinity analysis for a leading beverage retailer (BevMo). The solution enabled client to measure the outcome and effectiveness of campaigns on demand (especially Multistep, Recurring and Multistep recurring campaigns). (Technology- Teradata, MicroStrategy, Teradata CIM, Teradata TTU Domain: Sales, POS, Promo, Campaign, Outlet)

-Successfully architected and implemented a Healthcare Datawarehouse at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). The initiative encompasses of creating common data model for infrastructure integrated data and disparate systems. This model was key source various Claim based KPIs. (Technology- Teradata, MicroStrategy, IBM Information Server, UNIX, and Windows.)

-Implemented a BI reporting solution at First American to calculate each escrow/non-escrow property for annual and semi-annual delinquency search reporting system. The solution included extracting data from multiple sources and create single access point for reports. (Technology- Teradata, MicroStrategy, Informatica and Windows.)

-Implemented a BI solution at Dept of Education to analyze consolidated usage of data and BI environment across the organization. This was achieved by creating metadata repository (MDR) containing information on education data collected from all states. Played key role for Physical and Logical Modelling of MDT. The solution enabled the management team to understand top usage pattern of different facilities used by school across all states. (Technology- SSIS, Cognos, SQL Server 2005, Oracle 11g, UNIX and Windows).

-Successfully migrated VMS/1032 mainframe system client/server-based system at Federal Election Commission. The offload process was done in 2 phases, phase one identified the applications and data running on the VMS/1032 mainframe system; Phase Two involves transitioning those applications to a client-server environment and upgrade existing Disclosure System to include Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 (BCRA). Was the key person involved in GAP analysis in the existing disclosure system vs. 1032 mainframe. Played key role in data profiling, design and implementation of a business-driven dimensional data warehouse model that is optimized to the reporting needs of several data sources. The migration of 1032 mainframe helped FEC to give seamless access to disclosure information to public. (Technology-1032 Mainframe, Oracle 9i, Informatica and Windows.)
