Project Details:

Project Title: Mechanical Behavior Analysis of Aluminium oxide and wollastonite Powder Reinforced Epoxy

Composite Material.

Objective: fabricate ceramic matrix composites with aluminium oxide reinforced with a volume

of 30%,25%, 20%, 15%,5% of wollastonite powder and max. epoxy composite particulate by hand layup

method.

Scope: By changing the different ceramic composite materials, we can find out the different mechanical

properties as of strengths and hardness required for fabricated composite materials.

Description: ceramics of aluminium oxide and wollastonite powder composite materials are designed to

withstand the very high temperatures in modern manufacturing. They are used to line the hot surfaces

found inside many industrial processes and where the heavy vibration loads occur.

In this work we studied that these reinforced composite materials are more reliable than

conventional engineering materials.

Here we discussed about some of mechanical properties like the Tensile strength, hardness, Impact

strength and Flexural strength of aluminium oxide and wollastonite powder reinforced composites

materials.

Duration: Two and Half months.

Team Size and Role: Five numbers and I played team leader in this project.
