Midwest Regional Logistics Manager, 1995 - 1999

On site manager of a 350M sqft. facility with an annual shipment volume of 26 million cases. Directly responsible for the distribution of Clorox products (food and non-food) to a 16 state territory. Worked very closely with Regional Sales Managers, Brokers and the corporate customer service team.

Managed a 3rd. Party provider, who consisted of 44 hourly, 7 clerical, 6 supervisors, operations manager and general manager. Active with customers through store and warehouse visits. Also had transportation responsibilities including working with contracted carriers as well as customer pick-up and LTL carriers.

Direct budgetary responsibility related to the 3rd. Party provider.

Manager of a 450M sqft. distribution and production facility that serviced a 9 state customer base as well as provide product to an additional 5 states through interplant shipments to sister distribution centers. Annual shipments of 17 million cases.

Responsible for the activities of 35 hourly associates, 3 clerical and 3 supervisors. Provided annual performance reviews for all associates and administered any disciplinary actions in conjunction with the HR manager.

Responsible and accountable for developing operations budgets. Also responsible for customer service, carrier management finished goods losses and department safety.
