Created the Americas Region Quality organization as Nokia wanted to grow the business in the Americas region, responsible for all aspects of quality from new product design to recycling of old phones. Hired and led a regionally dispersed staff of 23, establishing mechanisms to monitor “voice of the customer” and manufacturing site performance. Identified quality/reliability issues and build tiger/swot teams to address internal manufacturing and external supplier issues.
Implemented ISO 9000 and 14000 to all manufacturing, design, service and distribution, including: six design centers, and four manufacturing locations (two US, one Mexico, and one Brazil).
Drove quality improvements globally by implementing product integrity and reliability testing.
Improved supplier product quality and manufacturing logistical flow by designing and implementing a supplier management program
Spearheaded resolution of supplier issues globally, working with suppliers, design teams and manufacturing to rapidly fix issues.
