EXPERIENCE
RF Support Engineer
NETSCOUT, San Jose October 2019 - Present
RF propagation model tuning, data analysis of CW measurements and RF model calibration for SUB-6 and mmWave frequency bands in 5G wireless network technologies.
Worked on transmit antenna site selection, site audit, statistical analysis and consolidating the mobile data collected from RF Field Engineers for 4G LTE bands.
Designed propagation models using wireless software tools Atoll, Truepath and high resolution geodata for 4G and 5G equipments. Troubleshoot and monitor the radio network performance for better optimization.
Generate reports, prepare deliverables, and interact with customer network operators on their next-generation network design to better understand and improve the network performance.
Graduate Research Assistant
California State University, Long Beach January 2018 - July 2019
Researched on different phased antenna array topologies, array components and beam steering methodology.
Implemented a new design to demonstrate beam steering for optical phased array antennas by avoiding electrical components and the physical movement of the hardware elements.
Learnt about EM models and simulation tools such as FDTD and HFSS.
Intern
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), India November 2012 - March 2014
Underwent training on Wireless concepts, Cellular and LAN technologies (WiFi, LTE, UMTS/GSM, EVDO/CDMA, TDMA).
PROJECTS
Optical beam steering of phased array nano antennas using FDTD software June 2019
Designed a linear array of nano antennas to accomplish beam steering at optical frequency. The antenna array model resulted in 1D steering up to 58 degrees.
Collaborated with faculty member in developing array model and examined previous beam steering techniques.
Analyzed results by performing numerical simulations on FDTD and scripted using MATLAB.
Solar Powered LED Street Lighting System May 2015
Developed an effective way of utilizing solar power and generating electrical energy to provide energy efficient street lighting system through automatic control of intensity.
Tested the construction materials and developed a prototype system involving quad comparator IC, MOSFET, microcontroller, and LEDs.
Programmed the microcontroller using C language to perform the operation of light intensity control.
