RE: MECHANICAL ENGINEER

MyHR

Dear Hiring Manager

My name is Christopher Bryan, a recent Masters of Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of California, Los Angeles. I am writing in response to the general consideration for Mechanical Engineer you are advertising on LinkedIn. I have a strong and wide background in mechanical engineering and design, and am adaptable, dedicated, and a quick learner, qualities that make me a strong candidate for this position.

I have had the opportunity to work on a large variety of group projects and labs over the course of my academic career, which has given me significant hands-on experience designing, developing, and testing hardware, and have taught me how to collaborate well as a team player under tight deadlines. In my undergrad at Cal Poly Pomona, I worked extensively with Arduino to program a PID controller. As a physics minor, I had hands-on experience with optical and electrical systems that I otherwise would not have had as a pure mechanical engineering student. Later as a masters student at UCLA, I analyzed and programmed robotic arms, allowing me to hone my knowledge of dynamics on a complex system, and gained hands-on experience with various 3D-printing methods. Throughout my education, I also became very proficient in MatLab, using the program frequently in a wide variety of projects. These experiences, and projects like them, have given me practical experience in engineering fields.

With my dedication and wide breadth of academic and project experience, I believe I would be a great fit for the position of Mechanical Engineer. I look forward to scheduling an interview where we can further discuss how I can contribute to MyHR. Yours sincerely,

Christopher Bryan
