Project Details

• B.Tech Main Project : Production of Bioethanol from Coconut husk

Produced ethanol (10-15%) from coconut husk via alkaline pre- treatment, acid hydrolysis and fermentation.

Application: Reduce dependency of fossil fuels and is used as a raw material for various chemical products.

• B.Tech Design Project : Design of pilot plant for the conversion of waste cooking oil to liquid soap

Designed pilot plant by converting waste cooking oil to biodiesel and glycerol, then converting the glycerol to liquid soap.

Application: reduce pollution generated from waste cooking oil by converting it to a useful product.

• Edible food packaging from agro-based products

Developed an edible food package material instead of conventional packaging material like plastics to cover food material. By this we can reduce pollution and amount of waste disposal.
