Dear Mrs. Sharpless,

Thank you for the opportunity to apply to be a part of the Event Operations team for the Rutgers Athletic Department. After looking over the job description, it is clear that you are looking for a person who has a strong passion for producing the best game experience, as well as familiar with the skills it takes to execute the day-to-day operations of an athletic facility. Given these requirements, I am certain that I have the required experience to successfully do the job and perform beyond expectations.

My current role at MetLife Stadium is titled “Facilities and Event Operations Coordinator” and it is here where I assist in the execution of all New York Giants and New York Jets games, concerts, and many other stadium-wide events. My responsibilities include coordinating the storing and distribution of all event related items, working with Local 560 Teamsters and Local 472 Laborers for specific event needs, and assisting in weekly stadium changeovers during the NFL season. Along with my event responsibilities I am also in charge of managing the inventories of both our on-site and off-site warehouses, keeping track of our snow removal equipment, and facility supplies. Prior to my current job I was an Event Operations intern for the New Jersey Devils/Prudential Center. Here I assisted in the coordination of internal meetings, pre-game day events, concert VIP receptions and special event functions.

After reviewing my resume, I hope you will agree that I am the type of component and driven applicant you are looking for. I look forward to being able to elaborate about myself and the specific skills I have that will benefit the organization. Please contact me at 732-***-**** or via email at adii6v@r.postjobfree.com to arrange a convenient meeting time.

Thank you for the consideration, and I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Joe Ercolino
