Projects undertaken after studying:

Created a wedding website.

Some key points of the website were the following: o Capture data of who was going to attend the wedding VIA a form. o This form was linked to a Firebase database to capture and store the data. o Communicate important information clearly to anyone using the website. o Mobile friendly interface so that any device could use the website easily. The system was developed using Angular. Firebase was the chosen database to use to store all data.

Projects undertaken whilst studying:

Created a point of sales system for a Lavender and Lace, a wool company in Kimberley. The main purpose of the system was to:

o Track stock quantities and alert the user of low amounts of stock in certain areas; o Calculate the total value of all stock on the premises; o Deduct stock from the database once a purchase was made; o Allow the user the functionality of entering new stock into the database; The system was developed using NetBeans - an IDE. The system benefited the company significantly since they were still using old techniques of capturing stock manually, which took an entire day.

Performed survey assistant field work:

Assisted a Professional Surveyor during weekends and holidays to perform various surveys. My duties were as follows:

o Ensuring that all survey equipment and material were loaded on vehicle; o Setting up tripod and GPS (Trimble and Leica);

o Operating the moving rover capturing point name and code for topographic surveys;

o Using a GPS receiver searching for known points and placing pegs; o Measuring spot shots on mine dumps for volume calculations; o Measuring position of boreholes for prospecting programme. Working at CS DIAMONDS, Kimberley:

Worked at CS Diamonds in a professional and fast paced environment that needed split second and accurate decision making. My duties were as follows: o Checking the weight of the diamonds at a weighing station to ensure that each diamond is accurate and within specified weight;

o Communicating with and assisting international diamond bidders to ensure that their needs and expectations were realised;

o Ensuring that the location of all diamonds was known at all times; o Ensuring that diamonds are locked up in a safe and that all diamonds are accounted for.
