WORK EXPERIENCE

ESSAR OILFIELD AND SERVICES LTD, DEC 2016 – PRESENT

POST: DRILLING ENGINEER

RIG WORKED: LR-3 (E-1400); MR-11 (SCHRAMM T250XD)

Efficient onsite supervision of drilling related activities and delivery of wells with minimum NPT & zero tolerance on QHSE and longevity of the well

Provide day to day operational support to the drilling supervisor to direct, organise and manage operation in accordance with approval instructions, programmes, procedures and practices.

Well Engineering calculations and analysis (Torque and Drag, Hydraulics, cement volume and displacement calculations, mud volume calculation) to support daily Rig operations.

Inspect and measure all BHA’s prior to running in hole.

Work with the cementer to ensure proper plug placement, proper slurry rate and volume pumped, proper strokes to displace and bump plug.

Prepare running tallies for drilling and completion operations.

Work with the well site geologist, Mud Engineers, MWD Engineers and directional drilling engineers to ensure adherence to the approved drilling program.

Compile daily drilling reports during operations and end of well reports prior to completion.

Monitor the drilling parameters (ROP / formation response / flow rate / pump pressure / surface torque / WOB / hole cleaning) while drilling.

Check Equipment mobilized for same specifications mobilized and functionality.

Prepare and mobilize well materials required to site.

Prepare section wise consumption reports, final well head schematic and company rig material inventory.

Ensure equipment, materials and services are timely available by detail planning and forecasting rig future activities.

Provide on the spot decision to any technical problems encountered by conducting risk assessment and providing corrective action.

Coordinate with Contractors providing operations forecasts to allow continuous operations and develop contingency plans where applicable

Ensure continuous improvement is incorporated in future operations through lessons learned, timely End-of-Well reports and encourages feedback while monthly meeting to operators.

Collaborated with Bit OEM & PDC bits in the surface and production section to improve ROP.

Supervised directional drilling of 6 wells

Introduced NOV Tru-vertical system for optimizing verticality of wells since natural fault depletion of about 20 and supervised the job.

HSE RESPONSIBILITIES

Observes proper rig operating procedures, noting unsafe practices.

Conduct pre-spud meetings and well presentations related to operational methods to the rig crew.

Plays an active part in QHSE meetings, tool box meetings and all other company safe management systems.

Proficient in STOP for supervisors and uses its techniques.

Took active participation in H2S drill, Fire drill, BOP & Trip drill, Mud pit drill etc.

Carryout BOP Function test & Pressure test as per Operator policy.

Ensures that all company disseminated information applicable to the staff is communicated them in TBT’s, Safety Meetings or Instruction training and that execution of such communication/training is appropriately recorded as defined in respective Procedures.
