Work Experience

Physician Assistant COVID-19 Field Hospital - AMI Expeditionary Healthcare October 2020 – December 2020 Chinle, AZ

AMI has a field hospital set up in Chinle Arizona, to provide medical support to the Navajo Nation in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Navajo Nation is a highly underserved area with limited resources of running water or electricity. I have had the privilege of serving this community in their fight against COVID-19. We started off as an isolation facility and as the cases started to rise, we transitioned into an ACF. We admitted COVID-19 positive patients from nearby ER/hospitals/communities and treated their COVID-19 related symptoms and chronic illnesses. I managed day-to-day patient contact, rounding, admitting and discharging that actively encouraged and included professional input from all members of the patient care team. We provided them with all the resources, clothing and supplies they needed during their isolation and treatment period.
