Volunteer Work

Home Church Ponoka

I am very involved at the local Home Church. I volunteer to clean the church once a month and have recently joined the hosting team. I greet people when they come into the church and engage in conversation until another member of the team is available to seat them. I have been the leader for both the nursery and pre-K teams. Each week I would plan a lesson and once a month I would teach. I am also part of the hospitality team. When we have events such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Heart for the Church, or church lunches I help to organize and execute along with a team of amazing people.

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 66

I have organized and volunteered for a number of fundraising events for the legion. The 2020 Canada Day pancake breakfast was planned by a small group of dedicated and hard-working volunteers including myself. I obtained items donated from members and businesses of the community for a raffle. I also organized the volunteers to ensure that all public health orders were being followed and ensured that patrons and volunteers health and safety was of the highest priority.
