EXPERIENCE
Aug 2019 - (continuing) Versa Drives, Coimbatore
Internship
•Electrical drive control majorly deals with modelling of motors with various controllers via control algorithms. Hands on experience in modelling the complete end to end system involving source, load and converter for motor.
•The algorithms included the control of torque, speed, thermal and selection of apt converter for different power ratings.
Feb 2018 – March 2018 L&T, Coimbatore
Internship
•A brief internship on working in a coordinated environment involving various engineering disciplines. A detailed study on various topics like control of rover and Switchgears.
• The study provided a three dimensional approach on need of switchgears, application of controllers and switchgears, practical environmental impacts on electronic circuits. A small study was also done on selection, safety and maintenance of switchgears.
PROJECTS & TRAINING UNDERTAKEN
Aug 2019 – (continuing) Speed Control of BLDC motor
Institute: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore
•The aim of the project is to arrive at a comparative analysis between various speed controllers like Proportional Integrative (PI), field oriented controller (FOC) to control the speed of electronically commuted Brushless DC motor (BLDC) model in MATLAB-Simulink.
Dec 2019 – Jan 2020 Frequency Analysis of FFT and SFFT
Institute: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore
•The Aim of the project is to analysis the importance of sparse FFT and its advantage, over FFT. The data for current and voltage is taken from the coir industry and a separate analysis is done for current and voltage using FFT and sparse FFT. Some samples of both the outputs (FFT and SFFT) are taken to the Simulink, where THD is found for it.
Dec 2017 – Feb 2018 Power Factor Correction of High Gain Interleaved Cuk Converter Fed BLDC Motor
Institute: Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore
• The project was based on using a modified cuk circuit which is an extend idea of inserting a capacitor circuit into basic cuk converter. The energy-transfer-capacitor in basic cuk converters is split into two capacitors and the rectifier diode is replaced by two diodes that form a switched-capacitor circuit. This gets connected between the input and output inductances of the original converter.
ACADEMIC & EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITES
•Published paper in ‘International Journal for Scientific Research and Development’, on “Zigbee based home automation through voice command”.
•Attended workshop on “Rapid Prototyping for Power Converters with STM Discovery Board” at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.
•Completed 10 days training program on “ROBOTICS” organized by Atmel University and Robokari.com.
•Cleared ‘Junior grade Typewriting in English’ with distinction organized by DTE, Government of Tamil Nadu.
•Passed “BUSINESS ENGLISH CERTIFICATE PRELIMINARY” conducted by CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY.
•Won State First in PAINTING Conducted by Kamban Academy, Erode.
•Volunteer of Social Service Club “HELPING HEARTS”.
