ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Building automation systems are very complex and can even cause some confusion for people who have a vast technical background. This can make it very hard to fully train new employees and this can cause the systems not being ran to full potential. Over the years I have worked with hundreds of customers and one thing is common with all of the operators. They not only want to learn how to operate the system they want to understand what their equipment is doing. For this reason I try to brake down each function of the controller and not only explain what it does but also how and why. I feel that the job is not complete until the owner operator has a basic understanding of all the equipment they have along with how to use the software to monitor it. If you have patience and are willing to invest a few hours to explain the system it relieves stress, reduces operational error, and saves money by preventing unnecessary warranty calls. From my past experience if the end user feels like you took the time to train them they will want to use you for any future jobs.
