Dear Team,
It is with great pleasure that I am applying for the REMOTE Telehealth Position to assist with determining need and distribution of COVID-19 tests. I have been working in many different areas of Medicine, especially Oncology. I have treated many patients with complex medical and surgical conditions who seek state-of-the-art treatment and want personalized service, and often the patient and the family seek guidance on symptom management.
As for my background, the first 7 years of my career I had a variety of experiences in general medical and surgical nursing. For the last 35 years, I have been working as a Clinical Oncology Nurse, CNS for Women’s Health/Cancers and/ or Oncology NP. In the last 13 years, I was working at MGH, starting in the Acute and Chronic Pain Service under the Department of Anesthesia in which I was responsible for doing pain consults on Chronic Pain Patients throughout the hospital as they were transitioning from a medical management to an interventional management program. I also worked part-time with the Benson Henry Mind-Body Center and then on the Oncology floors, Phillips 21 and Lunder 9 where our patients required much Symptom Management, assessment and reassessment of response. A little over one year ago I started my own entrepreneurial business focused on Prevention, Survivorship and Healing, which has been a fabulous experience.
I have had a variety of experiences throughout my career in nursing that give me perspective and wisdom. My other experiences have been in Medical, Surgical, Inpatient and Outpatient Oncology/ BMT/ Gyn Oncology and Medical Oncology. I also have a passion for Prevention and Survivorship. I received my NP degree from UMass/ Worcester Graduate School of Nursing where I experienced cutting edge Resources and many dedicated Health Care Professionals. I would enjoy being part of your team.
Sincerely,
Aurelie C Cormier RN MS ANP-BC
